Our Panoramic Approach
Our Panoramic Approach is at the heart of everything we do. It’s the philosophy that shapes how we understand children and families, how we build support around them, and how we work towards a future where every child has the chance to flourish.
A panoramic view means stepping back to understand the whole picture of a child's life and the people and systems around them:
Looking In
We begin by understanding the child. We take time to learn about their experiences, their relationships, their strengths, hopes and worries.
We listen first, because every child deserves to be understood before they are supported.
Looking Around
Children don't exist in isolation.
We work alongside families, schools and professionals to understand the wider picture and create support that fits each family's unique circumstances.
Looking Ahead
We’re working towards lasting change.
We also translate our front line work into research and advocacy to try to disrupt the systemic injustices we see in our society that perpetuate inequality.
How we put our Panoramic approach into practice
Every part of our work is shaped by our Panoramic Approach. Over the years, we've developed a number of interconnected areas of work that together create joined-up, flexible support centred around what matters most to children and families.
