About the event
The programme opens with Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy, a sweeping and dramatic retelling of Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy. Next, talented pianist, Catherine Chang takes the stage for Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 - a playful work that showcases both brilliance and charm. The concert concludes with Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, a bold and stirring masterpiece written in the final years of World War II.
