Lisa Radcliffe

Lisa was a Cambridgeshire headteacher, working in primary education for over 18 years. Her passion has always been for children accessing books and learning to love to read, alongside the importance of early reading to future educational success. Safeguarding children has been at the heart of those years of working with families, where she promoted the role communities can play in keeping children safe.

Lisa believes in the importance of trauma-informed approaches and access to high quality mental health support for children and families. She believes in early intervention and has a holistic view of family support. Positive, open and honest relationships have always been key to her success with children and families and in school leadership. Lisa is very proud to have delivered whole school cultural change by introducing and embedding therapeutic approaches to promote positive behaviours and address challenging behaviours.

Lisa currently works for children’s safeguarding charity, the NSPCC. She has taken on the role of Community Fundraising Manager, working in communities to promote the services of the charity and raising vital funds for the work they do. She is a Trauma-Informed Champion for the NSPCC and has enjoyed supporting them to deliver on one of their goals, to become a Trauma-Informed employer.

Outside of work Lisa and her husband David raise money for Childhood Cancer Research. Lisa is a member of The Children and Young People’s Cancer Association - CCLG’s Parent and Patient Involvement Group, advocating for children and families and using her lived experience to ensure that research focuses on what really matters to the people it is aiming to help. She is also a volunteer and lived experience speaker for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice.

Lisa joined Cambridge Acorn Project in 2025 and she hopes to use her professional and personal experiences to support the mission of Cambridge Acorn Project.
