Join Team Acorn at the TCS London Marathon 2027 on Saturday 24th April 2027 and help support children, young people and families across Cambridgeshire.
Whether you're taking on your very first marathon or chasing a lifelong goal, every mile you run and every pound you raise will help local families access the support they need to flourish. We have a limited number of charity places available and would love to hear why you'd like to run for Cambridge Acorn Project.
What you'll receive
As part of Team Acorn, you'll get:
A personalised Cambridge Acorn Project running t-shirt
1:1 personalised support from our fundraising manager
Fundraising materials and ideas to help you reach your target
A chance to visit our headquarters to meet the team and find out more about our work
Charity place commitments
If you're applying for a Cambridge Acorn Project charity place, we'll ask you to:
Raise a minimum of £2,500 (excluding Gift Aid)
Pay a £100 non-refundable registration fee
Raise 50% of your target by the end of January 2027
Keep in touch with us about your fundraising progress
Already have your own place through the London Marathon ballot? We'd still love you to join Team Acorn and fundraise for us.
Before you apply
As we are likely to receive more applications than places available, we will use the answers in your form to help us allocate our charity places. Don't worry if you've never fundraised before. We're looking for enthusiastic supporters who are passionate about making a difference and have ideas for how they'll reach their fundraising target.
The more detail you can give in your answers, the better. We want to hear from you!
Key dates:
Application deadline: Monday 7th September, 5pm
Successful applicants will be notified by: Monday 14th September, 5pm
Good luck, and thank you for considering running for Cambridge Acorn Project.
