Enrichment

We work with local sports, art and music providers across Cambridgeshire to widen participation ensuring that children who have experienced trauma and come from disadvantaged backgrounds are afforded equal opportunities to access enrichment activities which are vital for developing self-confidence and self-esteem. We run programmes with partners inlcuding: Cambridge United, Cambridgeshire Modern Jazz, Artscaping with Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination, and Kicks for Free with Active Play Education.

Branching Out

Branching Out is a partnership between Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI), Cambridge Acorn Project (CAP) and Fullscope (FS), with academic partners University College London (UCL) Institute of Education and Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). The project is investigating how elements of our established mental health art-in-nature programmes can be scaled up to benefit more children, contributing to a national research initiative seeking to understand how local, cultural, natural and community assets can mitigate health inequality. Please watch the video made by CCI to learn more about the project.

Conversation and Conservation

This is a 10 week programme for parents and children to develop new communication skills and have new experiences in the nurturing natural environment of a nature reserve in Cambridge. This project runs in Cambridge during the Autumn Term and is led by a qualified therapist and youth worker with forest school leadership experience.

Activities during this programme include: building fires, den building, sensory walks, art making and cooking.

More information will be coming soon for the 2023 programme.
