Ed Boggis
Ed joined Cambridge Acorn Project in October 2024. He currently leads a team in the Department for Education’s child protection and safeguarding division, focusing on system change around extra-familial harm — helping to protect young people from risks and exploitation outside the home. Before this, Ed helped deliver two national programmes supporting children at risk of serious violence through panoramic and therapeutic approaches.
Ed’s background spans criminal justice and social disadvantage, with experience in the prison service, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and over four years as a Cambridgeshire police officer where he worked on domestic abuse and serious crime.
Ed holds a Master’s degree in Criminology and lives in Cambridge with his wife and son, having also spent time living in York, London, and New Zealand.
